Sandrine Pavoine is a lecturer at the French Natural History Museum (MNHN) where she teaches statistics. She also heads the “Community Ecology, Macroecology and Conservation” team at the Centre for Ecology and Conservation Sciences.
Her research focuses on the mathematical measurement of different facets of biodiversity: specific diversity, diversity of species traits, acoustic diversity, phylogenetic diversity. She studies how and why its different aspects of biodiversity vary in time and space, particularly in a context of conservation biology.
Other functions: Head of the “Community Ecology, Macroecology and Conservation” team at the Centre for Ecology and Conservation Sciences.
