Violette Silve joined the FRB in July 2024 as a “Scientific Animation and Communication” officer, with her responsibilities divided between two departments. Within the Science and Research Communities department, Violette supports the activities of the Foundation’s Scientific Council. In the Communication and Scientific Valorization department, she serves as a communication officer dedicated to the activities of the Cesab, the Center for Biodiversity Synthesis and Analysis, a flagship program of the FRB.

Throughout her academic journey in the sciences, which led her to a PhD in marine ecology at INRAE in Bordeaux, Violette developed a strong passion for science communication. Actively involved in organizing various associations and events, she gradually chose to step away from conducting research to focus fully on supporting and sharing it with a broader audience.
